The Ducasa electric underfloor heating thermostat can be programmed and controlled using the onboard controls or, if linked to the optional Tevolve Gateway, via the Smart-Command App. The thermostat can also be used to control hot water cylinders at the press of a button on your mobile phone, tablet or PC.
The intuitive 24/7 programming means the heating can be automatically switched between your chosen Comfort, Economy and Frost Protection temperatures providing the perfect environment for your lifestyle whilst helping to reduce running costs. The app allows control away from the property so is ideal for holiday lets and second homes as well as residential properties and offices.
The thermostat also incorporates the latest energy saving features such as open window detection and self-adaptive learning. This reduces running costs by learning how long your room takes to reach your required temperature, then switching on the heating to ensure your room is warm when you want, but not before.
The Ducasa underfloor thermostat comes with a sensor to measure ambient room temperature and a separate probe sensor to measure the temperature of the floor to ensure personal safety and protect floor coverings and tiles. If the underfloor probe detects excessively high floor temperatures the thermostat will regulate the power to the element to bring the temperatures back to safe levels.
There is an option to switch one or both sensors off, for example you can disable the ambient room temperature sensor if you want to ensure your bathroom floor stays warm regardless of room temperature.
If the floor sensor is disabled, the device can be used as a standard room thermostat for controlling non-thermostatically controlled electric heaters or switching contactors to control multiple ‘zoned’ heaters.
The Ducasa thermostat is perfect for upgrading existing underfloor thermostats as it fits comfortably in a single gang 47mm back box and should you want to reuse your current floor sensor, there is also an option to adjust Beta values to match your old probe therefore ensuring accurate temperature readings.
When both sensors are disabled the Ducasa thermostat no longer detects temperatures and it converts to a 3.5kW programmable switch which can control not only hot water cylinders but anything from security lighting to garden watering systems.
